Doug Hansen, the global director of commercial and maritime advisory, is a maritime professional with over 25 years of experience in global port and marine terminal management, development, and operations. He specializes in providing strategic insights to both small and large terminal and shipping companies worldwide.
Throughout his career, Doug has focused on leadership in the dynamic business of marine terminal operations. His expertise includes terminal operations and development (container, cruise, ro-ro and breakbulk), ocean carrier, and terminal commercial contracting. Prior to joining Moffatt & Nichol, Doug was the chief commercial officer at Ceres Terminals Incorporated (now SSA Marine), one of North America’s leading Terminal Operators. He has also held positions with APM Terminals, NYK Ports, Termont, and Novolog Bucks County/Martrade in various locations around the world.
Since joining Moffatt & Nichol, Doug has led teams performing due diligence advisory, business development, and strategic port consulting for international companies across multiple maritime sectors.
